To translate the urgency of the global climate emergency into motivation for change, Asia Society, supported by the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, is launching the COAL + ICE Climate Posterator and Climate Change Poster Design Prizes. Held in conjunction with COAL + ICE, an immersive documentary photography and video exhibition that visualizes the climate crisis at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. in Spring 2022, the initiative is a global call to respond to a global emergency, presented in collaboration with Amplifier.
Users of the Posterator will be able to make use of a selection of images by photographers featured in the COAL + ICE exhibition in designing their poster. Anyone, anywhere, at any time, will be able to access the easy-to-use Posterator tool and use it to lend their voice and vision to a global call to action, with the finished posters to be displayed in an online gallery and as part of the COAL + ICE exhibition in Washington, D.C.
